District Employment Exchange

The District Employment Exchange Tamenglong was created in the year 1976 since then it has been serving Employers and Job Seekers for necessary recruitment/ appointment against notification of vacancies by the job seekers to the indenting Employers for necessary interview/ test.

Moreover, reports of Employment of the public sector/ private sector and unemployment figure based on the registered job seekers in the Employment Exchange are furnished to the Government of India.

Main Activities:-

  1. Registration of Employment Seekers.
  2. Sponsoring/ Submission of job seekers from the Live Register to the indenting Employers.
  3. Renewal of registered job seekers.
  4. Removal/ striking out of names from the Live Register who have been placed in employment and who have not renewed registration in time.
  5. Taking up Vocational Guidance Programme at the time of Registration. Rendering of Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual returns relating to the above activities. Collection and submission of Quarterly ER I return relating to Employment Market Information.
